Unemployment, in our view can only be minimized if the people no longer depend on the government or society to provide them with jobs but create one for themselves.

At Vivid-View Concepts, we have been creating jobs to youth through our input in the lives of 10 – 20 unemployed youths in the past by training them in skill and acquisition programmes in the areas of Web and Graphic Designs.

Our primary objective is to train and certified 200 unemployed youths for 5 days for a period of 3-years, create an avenue of getting a loan with Diamond Bank and to start their own business as at when due.

This Youth Entrepreneurship Training (YET) Programme presents an opportunity for youth to take control of their destiny by going the entrepreneurial route – by being self-employed and potentially offering employment to others. Thank you.

Saudi drug trafficking: NDLEA investigates officials over the arrest of 3 pilgrims in Saudi Arabia

Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (retd.) has ordered investigation into the arrest of three Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia in connection with substances suspected to be cocaine. 

Abdallah who expressed disappointment over the unfortunate incident constituted a panel of inquiry headed by the Director of Operations and General Investigation, Mr. Olugbenga Mabo to immediately investigate the incident adding that the Agency will address the situation with every sense of seriousness and urgency. Sacked Chairman of the House of Representatives committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin has released another statement disclosing how Speaker Yakubu Dogara, House leader Femi Gbajabiamila and others who have been in the House of Reps before this present administration have received well over N 10 billion in allowances.

Mum drowns saving her two-year-old son who fell off their boat in Utah lake

A 33-year-old mother, Chelsey J. Russell of Lakewood Colorado, died while rescuing her two-year-old son who had fallen into Lake Powell, Utah, from a boat they were travelling in. The whole family was out boating on the landmark lake when the 2 year old boy fell overboard. Chelsey jumped in after him to save him from drowning while other family members tried to stop the houseboat they were in and turn it around to pick both of them up.

22-year-old Oweniwe Chukwudi (pictured) who has been arrested in connection with the murder of his girlfriend, Adeyeye Nifemi, says he killed her for the fun of it and not for rituals as being speculated.

Two members of deadly armed robbery gang that has been terrorizing residents of Enugu and neighbouring states, have been arrested while a third was shot dead  during an exchange of gunfire with police.
According To Anambra Broadcasting Service, the gunmen, wearing police caps and armed with police rifles stormed the popular Obiagiu Council Bus stop in the Ogui New Layout, Wednesday, August 24th and held residents hostage. The police arrived the scene following a distress call and engaged the daredevil robbers in a shoot out. At the end of the shooting which lasted for about 20 minutes, one was gunned down, two arrested while others snatched two vehicles with which they made their escape.

Another 4-year-old girl caged by foster parents in Ondo over alleged witchcraft rescued by Nigeria Police

Ondo State Police Command on Thursday, August 25, rescued a 4-year-old girl who was caged in Akure. The girl, a pupil of Temiloluwa Nursery and Primary school, Imafon, Akure North Local Government Area, was rescued by the personnel attached to the Juvenile Welfare Centre (JVC) of the command.

Ondo State Police Commissioner, Hilda Ibifuro-Harrison, who confirmed the arrest to journalists from her office in Akure, said the culprit identified as Mary Matthew, a foster parent of the victim. She stated that Mrs. Matthew and her husband alleged that the young girl was possessed.

A man named Sukurat Idowu, 45, has been arrested by the Lagos state police for brutalizing his 5 year old daughter at their home in Ikotun. The man, who works as a road side mechanic assaulted the little girl named Monsurat by beating her with hot iron and causing serious body injury.

The suspect is currently being held by the command for the offence of child abuse. He was arrested after a concerned neighbour who witnessed the battery reported the case at Ikotun division.

 The neighbour narrated to the police how the suspect sent the victim to go and dispose of the content of a potty in the latrine and the child fell into the gutter, an occurrence which infuriated the father and made him to beat her mercilessly with a hot iron.
