ECOWAS Defence Chiefs set undisclosed date to attack Niger Republic

 


The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has agreed on an undisclosed date for possible military intervention in Niger.

ECOWAS Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Abdel-Fatau Musah, made an announcement at the end of the meeting of West African army chiefs in Accra on Friday, August 18 where they have been coordinating a possible armed intervention aimed at reversing the coup in Niger

India drug law enforce agents arrested three Nigerians and one indian during drug raids


The Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) and Narcotics Enforcement Wing of the Hyderabad City Police have busted a drug syndicate and arrested seven persons, including three Nigerian nationals. 

The Nigerians, who have allegedly been smuggling drugs for 12 years, and a Hyderabad resident were arrested in a decoy operation in Bangalore. Cocaine and MDMA worth 1 crore were seized from them.

Police officers who ran over man in handcuff are facing disciplinary charges - IGP

 


The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has disbanded the Technical Police Team that ran a vehicle over a man in handcuffs in Edo State. The incident which was caught on camera occurred in Ekpoma area the state last Thursday, June 29, 2023. In the video, the handcuffed middle-aged man is seen lying on a road while a police vehicle ran over him.

Thugs butchered policeman to death in Kano


A yet-to-be identified policeman was on Tuesday, July 4, hacked to death at Yakasai area of Kano municipal by suspected thugs.

Policewoman and daughters burnt to death in Anambra, suspect arrested and detained


The police in Anambra state has arrested a woman, identified as Nneamaka Nwosu, for setting a police woman and her two children on fire at Nnokwa, Idemili South Local Government Area of the State. It was gathered that the suspect who hails from Amawbia, became homeless after she got divorced from her husband. She approached the police woman who out of pity offered to accommodate her.

RCCG Pastor shot dead after suspected gunmen abducted seven worshippers in Ogun State


It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the RCCG parish at Abule-Ori in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
