Woman and her accomplice arrested for selling?the 2-day-old baby of her 13-year-old sister for N300k in Enugu State



News just got to us that two women, Kate Ugwu and Ekwutosi Onodu, had been arrested by the Central Neighborhood Watch in Igbo-eze LGA of Enugu State, for allegedly selling a 2-day-old baby, Toochi.
According to Kate, Onodu contacted her to help her niece, as they do not need the baby in their family because her 13-year-old sister is too young to be a mother.
Kate said: “So I contacted a friend of mine in Rivers State who promised to pay the sum of N300k and I delivered the package to him already.“

A software engineer, Mumuni Rilwan, who specialized in making stolen smart phones and those used for ransom negotiations by kidnappers untraceable, has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), at Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos.

The the suspect who is a graduate of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo State, was arrested with a notorious stolen phone dealer, one Gbolahan Osho, also operating at the Computer Village market, who has been arrested serially by the police for dealing on stolen phones.

Sources at the IRT disclosed to The Guardian that Rilwan’s arrest came following difficulties experienced by operatives of the IRT and other units of the police while conducting investigations into heinous crimes

Member of Federal House of Representatives Abuja representing Lagelu / Akinyele Federal Constituency and Action Democratic Party candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial race, Olatoye Temitope Sugar, is dead.
Olatoye was shot by suspected thugs in Elesu village in Ward 13, Lalupon, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Saturday evening.  
One of his aides who spoke under anonymity said he was shot in the face and rushed to the Accident and Emergency centre in University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan today,

In the result announced this morning, he scored 15,357 votes, while Benjamin Olasunkanmi,candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 3,628 votes.  

The State Constituency Returning Officer, Dr Bolajoko Dixon-Ogbechi from the University of Lagos, made the declaration at the Surulere Local Government Collation Centre in Lagos.
