Street beggars: 'Divert funds meant for pilgrimage to education' - Sen. Murray-Bruce advices state govts

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce is of the opinion that funds kept aside to fund pilgrimages should be diverted into education. In a post shared via social media, Murray-Bruce said:

"I am strongly of the view that states that have kids begging on the streets instead of learning in schools should as a matter of urgency divert whatever they budgeted for pilgrimage to education."
