The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared 21 days mourning for its members allegedly killed during the military invasion of the home of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu at Afara Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State.

The Biafra agitation group also says it has discovered more corpses of her slain members in a bush within the precincts of the home of its leader, SunNewsOnline reports. The group also informed that it is burying the slain members, numbering more than over 28 who were killed during the invasion, in piecemeal with 11 of such bodies already interred.

Former president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Dauda Mohammed, has died. According to reports, Dauda was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis and was en-route India for treatment at the Artemis Group of Hospital in Delhi, when he died five minutes before landing the Delhi airport. He was 38 years old. He departed Nigeria for India on September 30th after Niger State Government released N14 million to foot the medical bill after an appeal by NANS.

Mohammed was NANS’ President from 2011 to 2012 and he attended the University of Jos.

The Lagos state police command have arrested one Ufom Udoh for allegedly staging his kidnap in order to defraud his siblings of N60 million. According to the state police command's spokesperson, Olarinde Famous-Cole, Udoh had left his home on July 3rd and connived with his friend, Paul Okiemute, to defraud his brother, Victor Udoh and his other siblings of N60 million by way of staging his own kidnap.
Victor had on July 3rd reported a case of a kidnapped person in Lagos state to the police. The case was then transferred to the state's anti-kidnapping unit, who during its investigation, traced all calls the complainant got on his phone. This led to the arrest of one Paul Okiemute. When arrested, Okiemute, confessed that Udoh staged his own kidnap to collect money from his elder brother due to his financial problems.

Ajax midfielder and Dutch professional footballer, Abdelhak Nouri is battling with "serious and permanent brain damage" after collapsing in a friendly match on Saturday.
The 20-year-old young star had "cardiac arrhythmias" - heart rhythm problems during the game against Werder Bremen. 
He received CPR on the pitch and was airlifted to a hospital in Austria after collapsing in the 73rd minute of the game.
His club in a statement confirmed the brain damage and said his chances of recovery are nil.
The statement read: "The diagnosis was made that a lot of [his] brain is not functioning. All this probably occurred due to a lack of oxygen supply."

On Thursday July 13, 2017 Justice Halilu Yusuf of the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja granted bail to the former governor of Jigawa State, Ibrahim Saminu Turaki.
The former governor was re-arraigned on a 32-count charge of misappropriating N36 billion while in office, after successfully challenging the jurisdiction of the FCT High Court, where he was first arraigned before Justice Binta Murtala Nyako.
