Police officer who abducted a raped a 14 year old girl in Anambra has been arrested, to be arraigned in court soon

The Anambra state police command says it has arrested police officer, Bara'u Garba,  who abducted and raped a 14-year-old girl, Maryam, in Anambra state. A statement released by the Delta state command says the erring police officer would soon be charged to court. Read the statement below

Police in Anambra State has arrested one Ifeanyi Okpoko popularly known as Anagwanti, on suspicion of ritual murder.

The suspect, a metal fabricator, who hails from Umunnaama, Eziowelle town in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State allegedly abducted a 16-year-old boy identified as Chidera Ezeanya from a compound on Sunday, October1st.

Former president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Dauda Mohammed, has died. According to reports, Dauda was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis and was en-route India for treatment at the Artemis Group of Hospital in Delhi, when he died five minutes before landing the Delhi airport. He was 38 years old. He departed Nigeria for India on September 30th after Niger State Government released N14 million to foot the medical bill after an appeal by NANS.

Mohammed was NANS’ President from 2011 to 2012 and he attended the University of Jos.

May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

On this October 1st, 2017, I congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari and all Nigerians on the occasion of Nigeria's 57th Independence anniversary.

There are those that may say we have very little to celebrate and I will respectfully disagree with them.

In 57 years, Nigeria has faced many challenges, but we have overcome many of those challenges and made progress in multiple spheres of human endeavor.
