ADs: Vibrant young talented Gospel Juju musician hits Nigeria music industry
Bankole Adeyinka Joseph popularly known as Adetenor by his stage name, is a Nigerian musician, the founder and band leader of Muzik Affairs International Band. A band that started in Lagos State in the year 1998 with the idea to initiate a unique/classical musical genre that will be a fusion of Gospel and Juju music.
Adetenor thrust into music began at a very young age of 10 when he played with his church choir, Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) under the handle of his mentor, Evangelist Jimi Ogun Peters.
Born and raised in Lagos State where he attended Primary and Secondary School before gaining admission into Kwara State Polytechnic in Kwara State where he obtained HND in Accounting.
Adetenor released his first album 'Appreciation' in 2010 and was the career breakthrough that catapulted Adetenor into the limelight. Appreciation is a musical fusion between Gospel Juju and Afrobeat; a rhythmic collaboration which pierced Ethnic, Cultural and language barriers in Nigeria. Afro juju musical style mixes fast percussive beat with the use of electronic keyboards, saxophone and guitar. Some of the lyrics in the album were quite racy for the period.
His second Album 'Next Level' was released in 2013 and hit the market later in 2013 as well. And early 2016, he released a singles titled 'Birthday Flavour' and later on in 2016 he realeased his third album titled 'Mo Wa Fortunate' which also turned out to be talk of the town.
With all these professional studio albums, singles and numerous live performances selling fast, Adetenor has successfully delighted his fans all over the world over the years with the promise of a brighter future as a result of his relentless and productive attitude. This relentless and productive attitude of Adetenor has grossed him 2 awards in recognition for his unparalleled prowess in the art of Writing, Composition, Choreography and Musical Ability.
Adetenor as a brand name has made him one of the major driving force as well as the most sort after young juju artiste impacting this generation positively.
Amongst those he had played for are Olufunmi (Go Quick) Nova Africa, Kemi Jaiyeoba, Sunny Nneji, just to mention a few.
