Two men arrested with 14 sacks containing fake ballot papers in Kano

The Kano Police Command says it has arrested two suspects in possession of 14 bags of fake ballot papers in Kano state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the suspects were arrested with the fake ballot papers around Metro Police Area Command on Wednesday night, February 13th.

Assailants suspected to be political thugs have murdered a middle-aged man close at a ghetto area in Ibadan, leaving his severed body close to a popular joint in the area.
The man, said to have been murdered overnight of Wednesday, at Asaka, along Gege area at Ibadan surburb, was found with his head cut off, genitals and intestines removed at the location where his body was dropped. See full photo below.

Fellow Citizens,
On Saturday, February 16, 2019, you will, once again, be called upon to choose the leaders who will pilot the affairs of our great nation for the next four years. This is a constitutional right which should be freely exercised by all eligible voters.
2. I wish therefore to start by assuring all Nigerians that this Government will do its very best to ensure that the 2019 elections take place in a secure and peaceful atmosphere.
3. It was indeed such free, fair and peaceful elections that made it possible for our Government to emerge, despite the fact that we were contesting against a long-standing incumbent party.

A young man was on Monday, stoned to death by a mob at the Modern Market area of Makurdi, Benue State capital.
 
It was gathered that the deceased identified as Oniha Ragnar Donald, who worked as an agent at AIRTEL, was pursued by his assailants from somewhere else in broad daylight until he was caught up with at the market junction.

Two container loads of election materials caught fire at the INEC office close to the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the state capital this on Tuesday afternoon, February 12th.
The cause of the fire outbreak is unknown as men of the fire service are currently battling to put out the fire.

Another 7 people lost their lives at APC rally in Rivers State

No fewer than 7 persons lost their lives in a stanmpede that happened at the APC Presidential rally in Rivers state today Tuesday, February 12th.

The rally which held at the Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium Portharcourt, had more occupants than it could contain. As the crowd began to spill out of the stadium, a stampede ensued and seven persons were counted dead after the situation was brought under control.

Real Estate Developer, Bababunmi Akinyemi murdered in Ogun State

The Ogun state police command is currently investigating the alleged murder of a real estate developer, Bababunmi Akinyemi, in the Mowe area of the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State of February 1st.

According to the police, Akinyemi was allegedly lured to his site at Peace Estate, opposite the Redemption Camp off the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, where he was killed and his body dumped in the bush by his killers.

EFCC has secured the conviction of Obinna Udoji, a graduate of the Department of Building Technology, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, for a $9,654 fraud.

He was arrested by operatives of the EFCC on January 7, 2019 following intelligence report that he fraudulently obtained money from one Alina Ruso, which he claimed was to be invested in a company, Zenith Margin, which turned out to be false. He was subsequently arraigned before Justice A.O. Onovo of an Enugu State High Court, for the offence of obtaining money by false pretence, to which he pleaded “guilty”.
