Taraba State ASUU reembarks on indefinite strike, blames the governor

ASUU resumes indefinite strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University chapter, today began an indefinite strike.
A statement from the ASUU chairman in the school, Dr Samuel Shikaa, says that the aggrieved lecturers had embarked on a strike action in 2018 but suspended it when the
Taraba government promised to meet its demands which included the payment of earned academic allowances from 2014 till date, and the provision of required infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning.
He said the state government is yet to fulfil their promises hence they are going on strike.
