The group declared that those calling for his resignation were doing so didn't have the interest of the country at heart adding that the APC national chairman has been diligent in his performance for the party.
In a statement signed by the President of the group, Col Paul Ogbebor (rtd), described the allegation that Chief Oyegun compromised the Ondo governorship primaries of the APC as false.
He said:
"They cannot force the chairman out of office through amorphous organizations who are peddling lies. “Nigerians are aware that no one can be blamed for the current problems besetting the APC and indeed the nation’s economy. To do otherwise is an attempt to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it."Adding that those agitating for the removal of Odigie-Oyegun over the Ondo primaries should have explored the constitution of the party “and not through the papers just to tarnish the image of a man who has worked so hard to keep the party together.
