First came Snoop Doggy Dogg, then Snoop Dogg, Snoop Lion, and now Snoopzilla.
Rapper and singer-songwriter (real title Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr.) has altered his name one time again! Less than a year after renaming himself Snoop Lion, the rapper states he changed his moniker to contemplate his new melodious main heading with funk task 7 Days Of Funk.
Snoop has formed a collective with Dâm-Funk and the two are releasing their debut album on December 10. The newly christened Snoopzilla said of the new band: "We're the offspring of the Mothership. I've had funk influences in my melodies my whole vocation. Dâm-Funk is cold. He's holding the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him." Snoop has been renowned to invest himself completely in his transformations, altering to Rastafarianism for his reggae album, 'Reincarnated', under the
name Snoop Lion.
The star's new personality pays tribute to famous funk bassist Bootsy Collins, who was renowned as Bootzilla, and Snoop is said to be a taking well to the new genre.
