STELLA ODUAH, GOODLUCK JONATHAN ARE EMBARRASSING OUR COUNTRY - SEGUN OLULADE

By Boluwatife Awoks

The mouthpiece of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy, Security and Publicity representing Epe Constituency II, Hon Segun Olulade has described the scandals around the Minister of Aviation Stella Oduah as gross embarrassment to the nation, whereas Mr President is the author and chief perpetrator by harbouring the Minister.

While reacting to yet another scandal of the embattled Aviation Minister, this time around relating to certificate forgery, Olulade said President Goodluck Jonathan is deliberately reducing the office of Mr President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by refusing to do the needful whenever matters of critical importance places question marks on our national flag, such as in the case of Stella Oduah’s too many scandals.

“Nigerians are not the only people reading the online tabloid; the news coming out in the newspapers are read globally by everybody, thereby giving the whole world spontaneous knowledge of what is going on
around the world. And if for any reason, Mr President has continued to ignore high level scandals in his cabinet making headlines on daily basis, keeping the perpetrators in his cabinet and showing to Nigerians that ‘he truly doesn’t care’, then Mr President is himself leading the team of the people fighting war against our nation’s integrity.”

Olulade noted that the scandals rocking the Aviation Minister is too many and the President has no justification for refusing to sack her. He wondered why a Minister of the Federal Republic will rush to remove her online profile upon confirmation that the credentials she claimed are fake.

“Instead of ‘madam Minister’ to resign honourably and apologise to Nigerians, she rather rushed to erase fake section of her profile online. This is unthinkable! The Aviation Minister is only living a ‘plastic life’ not even expected from lower cadre citizens of this country”, Olulade lamented.

“Nigeria is greater than Mr President, and if he refuses to correct anomalies against the nation’s integrity, which he has capacity to do, that is outright disrespect to the nation’s flag and oath sworn by Mr President to protect our integrity. The committee set up by Mr President on the ‘Bullet Proof’ scandal has been widely adjudged to be mere formality and ceremonial, hence nothing tangible is expected from the committee as usual. Keeping Stella Oduah in President Jonathan’s administration by Mr President himself, even against recommendations of the House of Representatives, is questionable and unjust to Nigeria and Nigerians”, Olulade said.
